New Herefordshire tourism business takes next step – having a public presence in Hereford High Town
A new business arranging day trips from Herefordshire seeks to raise awareness by opening a kiosk within Hereford’s oldest market hall, the Buttermarket.
Herefordshire based Liz Hill works together with tourism businesses, tour guides and event organisers to create a selection of tours and itineraries that offer enjoyable days out for Herefordshire residents and visitors alike.
“I only started the business last year, but to help raise awareness to more people who enjoy days out, I needed to have a public presence” says Liz Hill owner of Rural Concierge.
“We enjoy some great days out that suit every taste. Last year, I organised an array of different trips, which included the Severn Valley railway, a tour of the Cotswolds, Herefordshire Cider & Perry tour, Black & White Villages, country houses and National Trust properties, gardens, Stoke potteries, Ironbridge as well as ballet and theatre trips.”
New trips for this year include: an Opera visit to Birmingham, Lord of the Dance in Cardiff, SS GB in Bristol and a boat trip in Shrewsbury. Contacts have also been made with larger events that are taking place in and around the area such as Hay Festival, Three Choirs Festival, British Red Cross Spring Garden Event and the Three Counties shows in Malvern.
Visitors to the county are also well catered for with trips promoting our beautiful area, such as a Herefordshire Cider & Perry Tour, exploring Elgar and the Malverns, Hidden Villages and Churches, a Literary Trail of Herefordshire, a Tour of the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean at Christmas.
The Rural Concierge doors will open within the Butter Market from Saturday 7th February at 11am and will then be open from Wednesday to Saturday each week from 11:00am until 4:00pm and enquiries can be left in the post box outside of these times.
