National Memorial Arboretum
Today we head to the National Memorial Arboretum. We have the day free to explore for ourselves and the opportunity to learn more with a number of FREE Talks that take place each day:-
- Far East Prisoners of War Talk – The Far East Prisoners of War Memorial Building is a museum in its own right and well worth a visit. Join one of our guides at 12 noon outside the building for a short talk about the servicemen and women who fought in the far east during WWII.
- Shot at Dawn Talk – Held at 1.30pm each day, this moving talk highlights the story of the 309 soldiers shot at Dawn during World War I.
- Afternoon Welcome Talk – 2pm ‘Welcome to the Arboretum’ talk is held daily in the Millennium Chapel.
Timings: Leave Leominster 8:00am., Hereford at 8:30am., Ross on Wye 9:00.
We depart at approx 4:30pm, Ross 6:30pm, Hereford 7:00pm, Leominster 7:30pm.
Costs: Including travel costs is £24.00 per person.
