OVERNIGHT Egypt in London TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh  & The Prince of Egypt Musical

Egypt in London TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh & The Prince of Egypt Musical

The exhibition will unveil more than 150 original objects from the tomb with 60 pieces travelling out of Egypt for the first and last time.
Keeping with the theme, we have also arranged to see the Prince of Egypt at The Dominion Theatre on Tottenham Court Road the following day.

Day 1– Arrive at National Army Museum in Chelsea in time for lunch.
We will be met by our Blue Badge Guide in the museum who will tell us the story of the early archaeologists during the Napoleonic Wars.
We will then head to the Saatchi Gallery for the Tutankhamun exhibition.

Not keeping with the Egyptian theme, we then head to Clerkenwell for a Fish & Chip feast (consisting of fish & chips with mushy peas, cheesecake or ice cream, a hot drink and a glass of Prossecco).
After all of that, we head to Blackheath and check in at the family run
3* Clarendon Hotel. A firm favourite for us when staying in London.

Day 2 – After a more leisurely start to the day, we make our way to the Tottenham Court /Oxford Street area in readiness for our matinee performance that starts at 2.30pm at The Dominion Theatre.
The theatre is within a 10 minute walk of the British Museum (for History) or Oxford Street (for Shopping).

The Prince of Egypt is the extraordinary new musical from three-time Academy Award®-winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) and writer Philip LaZebnik (Mulan, Pocahontas).
Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt as two young men, raised together as brothers in a kingdom of privilege, find themselves suddenly divided by a secret past. One must rule as Pharaoh, the other must rise up and free his true people; both face a destiny that will change history forever.
