Bradford Upon Avon & Iford Manor Peto Gardens

POSTPONED DATE – NOW Wednesday 2nd June 2021   Bradford Upon Avon & Iford Manor Peto Gardens

Bradford on Avon is situated on the edge of the Cotswolds facing the River Avon. The ancient bridge in the centre of the town remains its natural focus and the bridge still retains two of its original 13th-century arches.
This historic town has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and churches to keep us occupied, as well as a little loop walk around the town.

Iford Manor sits in 2.5 acres of historic gardens at the heart of the idyllic Frome River valley.  The Grade-1 listed gardens were designed by Harold Peto during his tenure at Iford from 1899 -1933 and represents one of the finest examples of steeply terraced hillside gardening in the UK.  They are characterised by colonnades, pools and steps and offer magnificent rural views over the valley.

Xxx Please note that the garden contains many steep, narrow and uneven paths, as well as long flights of steps without handrails.
For those with accessibility needs who wish to visit, please let me know and we can discuss any issues with Iford Manor before hand. xxX
