A tourism business from Herefordshire has been nominated for a national tourism industry Award.
Spotting a gap in the market for local tourism information in Herefordshire, Liz Hill set up her own company, Rural Concierge in 2013, to share her passion and knowledge of the local area with visitors, adding that personal touch.
She is one of ten “unsung heroes” to have been shortlisted for the award aimed at recognising people in the tourism industry who have gone that extra mile to ensure visitors receive a welcoming experience.

“I am really happy to be nominated by Visit Herefordshire for the 2017 Tourism Superstar.
This will help raise even more awareness nationally of Herefordshire and is great timing with Hereford’s bid for the City of Culture” Said Liz
The winner will be chosen in a current online public vote. There has already been a great start in and around Herefordshire and the Wye Valley under the #TourismSuperstar hashtag on Twitter.
DeanForest&WyeValley tweeted “#voteliz from @RuralConcierge as #england‘s #TourismSuperstar – come on team #deanwye let’s get voting!”

You can vote for Liz go to www.visitbritain.org/tourism-superstar or award sponsors Mirror Travel via @MirrorTravel on Twitter.

The winner will be announced during English Tourist Week which starts on March 25. He or she will receive their prize at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence gala in London on April 24.
