National Memorial Arboretum

Today we head to the National Memorial Arboretum.
Upon arrival, we have a couple of hours free to explore for ourselves or have some lunch.

We have the opportunity to learn more with a number of FREE Talks that take place each day:- 
Afternoon Welcome Talk – 2pm ‘Welcome to the Arboretum’ talk is held daily in the Millennium Chapel. 
Far East Prisoners of War Talk – The Far East Prisoners of War Memorial Building is a museum in its own right and well worth a visit. Join one of our guides at 12 noon outside the building for a short talk about the servicemen and women who fought in the far east during WWII. 
Shot at Dawn Talk – Held at 1.30pm each day, this moving talk highlights the story of the 309 soldiers shot at Dawn during World War I.

Before heading home, I have booked a 50-minute land train tour** around the Arboretum grounds.
