HOLIDAY – Christmas Lights at Bletchley & Waddesdon Sunday 15th December for 2 days

Located in Milton Keynes, yet just 5 minutes’ drive from the city centre, Peartree Lodge Waterside overlooks a marina on the Grand Union Canal. This simple redbrick hotel adjoins The Peartree Bridge Inn pub and it is only 3 miles from Bletchley Park Museum.

National Trust Waddesdon Manor was built for Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild in the 1870s to display his collections and entertain the fashionable world, we will have time to explore after our two course Christmas lunch with coffee/tea.
We then take time to walk around the Christmas Market which will be set against the backdrop of the floodlit North Front of the Manor with its 20ft Christmas trees and magical light and sound show.

Bletchley Park at Christmas WW2 did not pause for Christmas and neither did the Codebreakers. They were hard at work in the huts and blocks, several of which have now been restored. Find out more about their work and lives as you visit this important place during the winter months. Bletchley Park remains highly relevant to our lives today and for the future. It is the home of British codebreaking and a birthplace of modern information technology.
