Birmingham Artisans and Decorative Arts trade (including the Pen Museum)

Our day will start on arrival in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham with a visit to the award winning Pen Museum.
Dedicated to educating visitors about the history of Birmingham’s steel pen trade, it is the only museum in the United Kingdom devoted to the history of the pen making industry, the Pen Museum explains how Birmingham became the centre of the world pen trade.
In the afternoon we will enjoy a coach tour with our Blue Badge Guide Roberta who will meet us at the Museum and start the tour within Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter; this will portray a nice introduction incorporating Birmingham’s artisans’ and decorative arts trade to begin with before heading off to experience other places of interest.
We will arrive around lunchtime, and although the Pen Museum does not have a café, there are plenty dotted around the area.
