Today we travel around the cultural city of Bristol to explore over 700 years of art in some of England’s most stunning churches. We must also mention the world-famous street artist of today, Banksy.
Once we meet Liz our guide, we will travel by coach for a lunch with a cup of tea or coffee. Lunch will be held at The Arc Cafe which is a community project Addiction Recovery Agency (ARA) in partnership with St Mary Redcliffe church. It is located underneath the church, in the unique and impressive Undercroft divided by ancient gothic stone pillars. If you joined us last December on the ‘Christmas in Bristol Tour’ you will already be aware of this great cafe.
Our afternoon will be spent exploring other churches and their links with art over the years. More details will follow in the next newsletter
